RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING

PLAYING RESPONSIBLY IS IMPORTANT

Playing responsibly means treating gambling as a part of your entertainment activity and keeping it under your control. We’ll assist you in every step while you’re gambling. Please contact our customer care representatives by live chat or email betresponsibly@doctor-bet if you need any help. We’re here to make your gambling experience joyful and safe.

WHAT IS OUR COMMITMENT TO RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING?

We are dedicated to protecting our players, monitoring fraudulent, collusive and criminal activity and averting underage gambling. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the correct tools are in place to help you enjoy your experience. It is our promise to offer a fair gambling experience and we will ensure transparency with all activities on our website.

PREVENTING UNDERAGE GAMBLING

Dr-Bet does not allow access to gambling to children and young people under 18 years old.

To prevent underage gambling all players who create accounts with us pass the verification process to ensure they are of legal age to gamble. All players should go through the age verification procedure which implies requesting documentary proof of age. These documents should be uploaded in the software and shall typically include:

  • a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport or national identity card);
  • your selfie picture with the same document;
  • proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, tax invoice, etc.)

In case the account is used by anyone who is not of legal age, either voluntary or accidentally, we reserve the right to close the account and write off all winnings.

To protect the kids from underage gambling please use filtering software to block undesirable websites or apps. Check CYBERsitter site to learn more about filtering software.

If you know that someone who has not reached the age of 18 is playing in our casino, please immediately notify our customer care team.

ENJOYING YOUR PLAY

Anytime you play with us you come to have fun and enjoy your pastime. Therefore, we recommend that you follow our guidance and these simple tips:

  • Set your financial and time limits. This will help you keep gambling under control and be responsible when spending time with us. Additionally, we would advise that you regularly check your limits and modify them if you feel that you are spending more time and money than you expected.
  • Daily responsibilities should always come first! If gambling starts interfering with your everyday activities, you should ask for help immediately. Proceed with reading to find information about help and support.
  • Never gamble to play back your wagers. You should also avoid gambling if you are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance.

FINANCIAL LIMITS

It is advisable to decide on your financial limits before you start to play, as the chances of players experiencing a gambling problem is greatly reduced with this in mind.

You can set the following financial limits:

  • Deposit limit. Here you can set a limit on the amount of money you deposit into your account over a particular period of time. By registering on Dr-Bet you should set the deposit limit upon the signup form for a time period chosen on your discretion;
  • Loss limit. Here you can set the maximum amount of money you can lose over a particular period of time. Our system doesn’t allow you to lose more than the limit amount you’ve set. Please note that this limit does not apply to sports betting;
  • Wager limit. Wagering limits allow you to limit the amount you can wager for the period selected. Please note that this limit does not apply to sports betting.

When setting financial limits please also set the period for each limit: daily, weekly, or monthly. Please note that daily, weekly and monthly limits are available on a calendar period basis:

  • the daily limit is set for every day from 00:00 till 23:59;
  • the weekly limit is set for every week from Monday till Sunday;
  • the monthly limit is set for every calendar month, for example, from the 1st of December till the 31st of December.

Please note that where you set a limit for simultaneous time periods, for example, a daily deposit limit and a weekly limit, the lowest limit will be a priority. Therefore, if a daily deposit limit of £10 and a weekly limit of £100 are both enabled simultaneously then the maximum allowed deposit is £10 per day and £70 per week. You can set limits here when logged in. If you have any questions please contact our customer care team.

The financial limits may be reduced immediately at any time. Any request to increase or remove a limit is subject to a 24-hour “cooling off” period. The original limit will remain active until then. During this period, the current limit will be applied and you’ll have an opportunity to cancel requested changes by clicking the “Cancel” button under the chosen limit. In 24 hours you will need to click on “Accept” button for the new limit to come into effect.

Please note that right after the registration the “No limit” option will be the default for every financial limit. It can be changed anytime in Your profile section or here .

TIME LIMITS

To control the time spent with us you can set different time limits. If you need any assistance please contact us by live chat or betresponsibly@Dr-Bet.

You can set the following time limits:

  • Session limit;
  • Reality check;
  • Cool off period;
  • Self-exclusion.

Detailed description of every available time limit can be found below.

SESSION LIMIT

Session limits will limit the amount of time you can stay logged into your account. You can choose a frequency to see a reminder from a pre-set list of periods.

The time will start counting down from the moment you log into the site. When the time period expires, you will see a reminder that the session limit has come to an end with an option to log out or continue playing.

REALITY CHECK

The Reality Check feature allows you to set a reminder informing you of the time you have spent playing casino games on our website.

You can find the Reality Check here when logged in.

A Reality Check can be set on your account to remind you how long you have been playing casino games. This will help you to manage the amount of time you are playing in every game. You can manually select a frequency at which the reality check will appear on the screen from the pre-set list of time periods from 5 minutes to 3 hours. Please note that right after the registration the “No limit” option will be the default for every time limit. It can be changed anytime in Your profile section or here.

The timer is activated when you initiate the game and will continue to appear at the selected intervals during your session. As soon as you reach the selected time period, the notification message will appear and stop the game showing the time spent in the game and allowing you to choose if you want to quit or continue playing, also providing the link to your gambling history.

The Reality Check will be set for each individual gambling session, for example, you commence playing roulette and then later start playing blackjack and have two Reality Checks running concurrently for each game.

Please note that reality check is not available for sports betting, so please set session limit to control your time by placing bets in the sportsbook.

The reality check feature may not work as expected if you do not accept cookies or use “incognito” mode on your browser.

COOL OFF PERIOD

Activate cool off period anytime you want to take a break from real-money gambling. This facility blocks all our promo and marketing materials. During a cool off period, you will be blocked from depositing to your account with Dr-Bet and from playing on real money in the casino and sports betting. This option is available here. You can also contact our support team to activate a cool off period for your account.

You can set a cool off period for 24 hours, one week or one month. You can cancel the cool off period when you are logged in or by contacting our support team. Revoking or reducing the cool off period will take 24 hours.During this period, the current limit will be applied and you’ll have an opportunity to cancel requested changes by clicking “Cancel” button under the chosen limit. In 24 hours you will need to click on “Accept” button for the new limit to come into effect.

SELF-EXCLUSION

If you feel gambling is not just a way to have fun for you anymore, you can self-exclude yourself from gambling. This facility blocks all our promo and marketing materials, you can no longer log in to your account.

You can self-exclude your account when logged in here or by contacting our customer care team. You can set your self-exclusion period for 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, 3 years, or 5 years. During this period your account cannot be reopened under any circumstances.

Before you decide to self-exclude you should understand the consequences of self-exclusion. You cannot remove the restriction before your exclusion period passes. At the end of such self-exclusion period, the restriction will remain in place unless you take positive action in order to gamble again. Otherwise, it will last for another seven years. At the end of the period, you can contact our customer care team by live chat or via phone to request your self-exclusion to be lifted. Re-registering online is not sufficient.

Upon reopening request (live chat or via phone) when the chosen period of time has expired, one of our representatives will contact you over the phone in order to provide you with self-exclusion implications and education.

We will then implement a one-day “cooling off” period so you can reconsider the decision to access gambling again. In 24 hours you will be able to access your account.

During the 24 hour period you can change your mind by contacting support again. In this situation, your self-exclusion will remain active and extended to a minimum of 6 months.

Any self-exclusion may, on request, be extended for one or more further periods of at least 6 months.

We also recommend that you do this for any other operator you may be registered with.

Self-exclusion procedures require you to take positive action in order to self-exclude:

  • on the website: by pressing “Accept” button before accessing self-exclusion setting in your profile, it indicates that you understand and accept the terms of self-exclusion;
  • by phone: you have to confirm to the customer care representative that you understand and accept the terms of self-exclusion.

GAMSTOP

If you are considering self-exclusion, you may wish to register with GAMSTOP. GAMSTOP is a free service that enables you to selfexclude from participating online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain. To find out more and to sign up with GAMSTOP please visit www.gamstop.co.uk.

SELF-ASSESSMENT TEST

Playing responsibly means being aware of every single wager you make and understanding how this wager affects your mental state. To check how good you are with time you are playing with us, please answer the questions below. This test will help identify if you are having some issues with gambling.

Answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to each of these questions considering the last 12 months into your account:

  • Have others ever criticized your gambling?
  • Do arguments, frustrations or disappointments make you want to gamble?
  • Do you gamble alone for long periods?
  • Do you gamble to escape from a boring or unhappy life?
  • Do you stay away from work or studies as to gamble?
  • Have you ever lied to cover up the amount of money or time you spend gambling?
  • Have you lied, stolen or borrowed in order to maintain betting habits?
  • Are you reluctant to spend ‘gambling money’ on anything else?
  • Have you lost interest in your family, friends or pastimes due to gambling?
  • Do you feel depressed or even suicidal because of your gambling?
  • After losing, do you feel that you have to try and win back the losses as soon as possible?
  • If you run out of money when gambling, do you feel lost and in despair and feel the need to gamble again as soon as possible?
  • Do you gamble until your last penny is gone, equal to the bus fare home or the cost of a cup of tea?

[Test adapted from DSM-5 Diagnostic Criteria: Gambling disorder]

If you have answered ‘yes’ to four (or more) of these questions, you may be experiencing problem gambling and we recommend that you consider applying limits to your account or self-excluding, as well as speaking to someone about yours answers.
